The walls of our timber frame eco-house extension have been extended up. This is as high up as the walls are allowed to reach – the eaves needed to be at this height to get planning permission. From here upwards it will be the sloping roof – it’s a bit like an attic conversion that’s planned from day 1.
And very excited to see that the joists for the first floor have been added – see the photo below for the fixings used to hold these joists:
Downstairs the outside of the timber frame is being lined – it’s starting to feel like a house!!!!
And the view from outside shows how it is connecting to the existing house:
