The tiles are now going onto the roof of the extension – not long before the whole thing is completely watertight.
These tiles were all re-used from the part of the house that was demolished. This is a small saving financially, beneficial in environmental terms as there is no energy needed to make or transport them and it’s also good in terms of appearance as it helps the new part of the roof to blend in with the old.
This side of the roof is West-facing so the room should get lots of light in the afternoon/evening from the skylight . Getting direct sunlight from multiple directions really enhances a room and will be especially useful for this room where the main window is North-facing.
